The Giving Way

Give a Little. Change a Life

For the past few years, quietly and without much fanfare, I’ve been part of something simple but powerful.

Along with a few generous friends and family members, we’ve pitched in what we could—$10 here, $50 there—to help everyday people in Ghana take one step closer to stability. A newly-wed couple opened a container shop. Several children stayed in school. An elder received urgent medical care. An informal waste collector grew his tiny business and quadrupled his income.

None of us are millionaires. We’re just people who care—and that care has created real change.

So now, I’m opening this up in a more intentional way.
We’re calling it The Giving Way.

What Is “The Giving Way”?

The Giving Way is a small, personal giving and lending fund. It’s a collective effort—a way for people like you and me to come together and provide direct, thoughtful support to individuals and families in need.

We’re not a nonprofit. We’re not launching an organization. This is grassroots. Low overhead. Heart-centered.

It’s a fund that allows us to move quickly, listen to people’s real needs, and help where it counts most—especially when a little goes a long way.

Why Now?

Over time, I saw a pattern: small amounts of money were making big differences.

Someone could keep their business going with just $100. A few dollars could buy school supplies. A little extra help could allow a family to breathe again. These were people trying their best—just needing a nudge forward.

I’ve been inspired over and over again by the grit, strength, and spirit of the people we’ve helped. So I thought: What if we made this more consistent? More intentional? What if others wanted to give too?

That’s how The Giving Way Fund came to life.

What the Fund Supports

We focus first on helping micro-entrepreneurs—especially those with small businesses who are close to sustaining themselves but need a hand to move forward.

In addition to that, the fund may be used for:

  • School fees, supplies, or support for children
  • Emergency or unexpected care for children or elders
  • One-time critical expenses that help someone maintain dignity and stability

Some of this support is given freely. Some may be structured as a zero-interest loan to help the fund remain sustainable and reach more people over time. We make those decisions on a case-by-case basis, guided by trust, personal relationships, and compassion.

Who We Help

While many programs focus solely on women, we don’t draw hard lines. Yes, we support women. But we also recognize that men—especially fathers and young men trying to do right by their families—are often overlooked and underserved.

This fund is about supporting people—individuals with dignity and dreams—who simply need a bridge to get from “barely making it” to “making it work.”
